What browsers does KenwoodScribe support?
KenwoodScribe requires Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for live recording and transcription. These are the only browsers that support the Web Speech API used for real-time transcription. Safari and Firefox are not supported for recording, though you can paste a transcript manually on any browser to generate notes.
How does Smart SOAP Extraction work?
When you check "multi-pet transcript" and enter a patient name, KenwoodScribe sends the full transcript to the AI with instructions to identify and extract only that patient's consultation. The result is a SOAP note scoped precisely to that animal — even if the transcript spans hours and multiple patients. You can also highlight the relevant section first to further focus the extraction and reduce cost.
How do I get access for my practice?
KenwoodScribe is licensed on a flexible basis — either per clinic or per individual user, depending on what works best for your practice. Contact us to discuss the right setup, and we'll issue your license key and apply your free trial credit. You can be generating notes the same day.
What does the free trial include?
Every new license comes with $5 in credit — full access to all features, no limitations. With regular use (not every appointment requires a generated note), $5 covers approximately two weeks of real-world use for a single doctor. No credit card required to start. You only add funds when you're ready to continue.
What are my two generation options?
Each time you tap Generate, you choose one of two modes: SOAP Note + Client Summaries (produces a full clinical SOAP note plus a concise summary and detailed email summary for the client, from one generation) or Phone Summary (a brief call documentation note for the medical record). Both draw from the same recording — you decide at the moment of generation which you need.
How long are sessions stored?
Sessions are saved to your browser's local storage and remain accessible for 14 days. You can record on Tuesday and come back Thursday to generate or review a note — as long as you're on the same browser and computer. Sessions are not stored on any server.
Is the audio stored anywhere?
No. KenwoodScribe uses your browser's built-in Web Speech API, which processes audio locally on your device. Audio is never recorded, stored, or transmitted. Only the text transcript is sent to the AI for note generation.
How does pricing work for long transcripts?
The base price covers transcripts up to ~1,000 words. For longer transcripts, a small surcharge of $0.03 per additional 1,000 words applies. For practices that record all day, we strongly recommend the highlight-to-extract feature — select just the section covering the patient you need, and you'll only be charged for the highlighted text.
Can it handle households with multiple pets?
Yes — this is exactly what Smart SOAP Extraction is designed for. Record the entire multi-pet visit in one session, then generate separate notes for each patient by entering each pet's name one at a time. Each note saves to your session history independently and can be reviewed or regenerated anytime within 14 days.
